ARE YOU FEELING AS MAY AS ME?
Good day and happy spring - have you seen the buds budding and becoming? Have you felt the change in the air, the hope and the growth and the way things eat light and air and turn into other things but also into more of themselves?
The first weekend in May I'll be celebrating two special institutions supporting new weird wonderful work by sharing some of my own.
Eat the Patriarchy
Bechdel Project
Saturday May 3 @8pm
I'll be performing some material (old and NEW!) to support Bechdel Project, whose mission is to amplify the voices and stories of women, non-binary, and underrepresented genders through art, activism, and education to shape a more equitable future for all. Eat The Patriarchy is an immersive, high-energy gathering where we take a bite out of outdated power structures and toast to a future that uplifts us all. Expect an evening filled with performances by boundary-pushing artists, tarot readings to divine your next act of rebellion, and participatory activist actions that turn inspiration into impact. We’re calling on you to dress to defy the male gaze—whether that means decadent, androgynous, or just damn comfortable, make it yours. Come ready to laugh, dance, connect, and celebrate the power of art and activism. Whether you’re here for the performances, the rooftop rituals, or just the cocktails, one thing’s for sure: the patriarchy won’t eat itself.
